Since 2012, global lifestyle brand Sevenfriday has been encouraging individuals to live everyday like it’s Friday through their industrial inspired watches that remind us of the beauty and intricacies embedded in daily life.
Among the industrial inspirations fueling the brand’s designs, this latest addition to Sevenfriday collection and the first of its W-series, W1/01 or The Blade, is perhaps the most daunting.
Deliberately influenced by the saw blade, this wristwatch captures the mighty essence of an industrial power tool without compromising on detailed precision that are extremely subtle.
Looking sharp on any wrist, the aesthetic of the saw blade is intricately brought forward on the watch’s case and interface. The seamless presentation is achieved, just like any other Sevenfriday watch of course, with true artisanal craftsmanship.
Besides the signature “squround” (square + round) format that defines the brand look, Sevenfriday is also known for its multi-level interface construction dial, and The Blade is no different.
With a stripped back and exposed mechanical presence, the five-layer interface is accented with a rich colour palette of black matt, gun metal and matt rhodium, revealing the complexities that further awe.
Its three-piece construction case is fortified with hardened K1 mineral glass box and anti reflective coating, securing the insides and shielding its customised Miyota automatic 82S7 engine. The watch is further embellished with bespoke yellow lining padded calf skin leather strap that can be easily replaced thanks to Sevenfriday’s ‘Fast Changing System’.
W1/01 is also chipped in connection with the official Sevenfriday App for easy watch verification and registration.
